Eco-schools presentation

On Wednesday (18th June) Areej, Laeem, Mharab, Salma, Treyvon, Mujtaba and Ashwaq from the Eco-schools team came along to our weekly staff meeting to talk to us all about what they do and what we need to do as a school to be more environmentally friendly.
They talked us through a Powerpoint presentation all about the work they have done around school. You can watch it below.
They all spoke very clearly and the whole staff were really impressed with all the hard work that they have put in. Well done!

In the Eco team we are always thinking of ways to Reduce Reuse & Recycle.
We thought one way of saving paper would be to put the school newsletter on this site or, sending it by email to the parents who register. What do you think, is this a good idea?

Thanks for your question Nagina. At the moment the team is full but there will be a chance to apply for a place on next years team in September.
Until then you can all help by reducing the amount of energy you use and the waste you produce at home and at school.
Remember any ideas or suggestions for the team can be put on the Ideas Tree on the Eco board in school.

What a good question Sadia, I’m sorry we have not put the names on here, they are on the school Eco Board.
Our Eco Team are:
Maharab & Laeen 4G ,Areej 4H
Saima, Daanish& Samiul 5M
Treyvon & Mujtaba 6T Ashwaq 6S
Miss Robinson Mrs Loth Mrs Brady Mrs Shaw Mrs Khares Mr Wiston
These children are representatives of the school but we need all pupils and staff at Birchfields to help us make a difference!
